Song Zhang holds the Lawyer’s License as well the Patent Agent Certification and the Judicial Authenticator Certification. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication in Dalian Maritime University and then master’s degree in Japanese Intellectual Property Rights from Humen College of Kanazawa Institute of Technology.

Zhang specializes in the patent-related work of electronics, including communications, semi-conductors, electronics and circuits, navigation systems and computer software. His practice covers the patent application, reexamination and invalidation, as well as juridical and administrative handling of infringement, customs protection of intellectual property rights, technology import and export, and patent licensing.

Zhang has undertaken nearly 1000 patent applications for a dozen Fortune 500 companies. In addition, Zhang has provided legal support on intellectual property rights for many overseas government agencies and non-governmental organizations, such as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, and Japan External Trade Organization. His work covered technical contracts, licensing, employee inventions, the juridical and administrative handling of infringement, customs protection, technology import and export, patent rights protection and strategic planning of intellectual property rights.

While working as a judicial authenticator of intellectual property rights, Zhang has taken and led many cases of patent infringement identification authorized by the courts and gained rich experience in this area. Zhang can provide effective legal supports on preventing the potential risks of patent infringement. 
In addition, Zhang specializes in handling trademark cases, including trademark application strategic planning, authorized approval and judicial and administrative arrangements for infringement cases.
