Feng Chen began his private legal practice in 1986, and specialized in financial leasing from 1987 and has engaged in the practice and study of financial leasing for more than thirty years. Feng Chen was the legal counsel of the first financial leasing company in China- China Orient Leasing Limited and the first financial leasing company established by a banking institution- the Leasing Department of CITIC Industrial Bank.

Chen is regarded as the most experienced lawyer in financial leasing area. He has provided legal services including transaction structure planning, drafting, reviewing of legal documents for nearly a thousand financial leasing projects and represented clients in litigation and arbitration for more than one hundred financial leasing cases. Moreover, Feng Chen was invited to advise on legislation of basic laws and regulations of financial leasing including the chapter entitled Financial Leasing Contract of Contract Law of the PRC, Rules of the Supreme People's Court on Some Issues Concerning the Trial on the Disputed Cases over the Contracts for Financial Leasing, Administration Measures on Foreign Invested Leasing Industry. He was invited by Financial and Economic Committee of National People’s Congress to act as counsel for drafting Law of the People’s Republic of China on Financial Leasing.

Feng Chen is in charge of the financial leasing team and acts as professional counsel to numerous multinational leasing companies, providing creative transactions and business structures to expand their financial leasing business.
