Yupeng (Mark) Wang is a partner with East & Concord Partners and specializes in financial leasing, commercial factoring, equity investment and other investment and financing businesses as well as related dispute resolution. Wang provides a full range of legal services including transaction structure design, drafting transaction contracts, due diligence, supervision and approval, legal opinions and daily legal counselling to Chinese financial enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises in trade financing and project financing. His clients include investment enterprises set up by many Fortune 500 multinational companies, state-owned and private enterprises. Furthermore, he participated in gathering opinions from legal pundits regarding the drafting of the Supreme People’s Court’s Interpretation on the Issues of Applicable Laws in the Trial of Disputes over Financial Leasing Contracts and the Financial Leasing section in Civil Code.
In addition, Wang has extensive experience in handling cases involving dispute resolution in the fields of finance and corporate investment. He has represented many clients such as IBM, GE, Best Buy and Wrigley Company to settle disputes and handle enforcement cases in finance, investment and financing. He has also represented other dispute resolution matters such as for TALPA (a Netherlandish company) re trademark of The Voice of China, dispute re equity transfer agreement of a real estate project and an appeal in the Court of Arbitration for Sport on behalf of a Chinese athlete. Wang has represented clients in People’s Courts at different levels in various provinces and cities as well as before arbitration institutions such as China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission.
