Recently, Jianrui Wang, partner of East & Concord Partners Wuhan Office, was selected by the General Office of Hubei Provincial People’s Government as one of the first legal consultants of Hubei Provincial People’s Government. The team of Hubei Provincial People’s Government legal consultants, built according to relevant regulations of the central and local people’s governments, is mainly made up of the staff members of the legislature of Hubei Provincial People’s Government and legal experts.

Legal consultants of Hubei Provincial People’s Government will each serve a term of three years, during which they perform the following duties: participating in the review of compliance or legal risk evaluation of major administrative decision-making matters of Hubei Provincial People’s Government, participating in the development and review of legislation and normative documents of Hubei Provincial People’s Government, holding reviews of compliance of major specific administrative acts of Hubei Provincial People’s Government in its advancement of administration according to law, conducting reviews of compliance of or providing legal consulting and opinions on major civil and commercial acts of Hubei Provincial People’s Government, providing legal services for Hubei Provincial People’s Government in relevant litigation proceedings (arbitration cases) and handling non-litigation disputes, studying  major issues of government building, providing opinions and suggestions and undertaking other legal matters  assigned by Hubei Provincial People’s Government.
