In the golden October, East & Concord Partners Hangzhou Office hosted a teambuilding activity themed "Lift Your Dream at East & Concord Partners" along with Shenzhen Office, Shanghai Office and Wuhan Office, as well as the Criminal Department, Financial Department and Marketing Department of Beijing Office.
During the teambuilding, we had group competition at Daqi Mountain National Forest Park in Tonglu county, Hangzhou (Daqi Mountain is known as the No.1 Mountain in the south of the Yangtze River), visited the gorgeous Yaolin wonderland, and went to the beautiful Fuchun River.
Going to Daqi Mountain
When we woke up in the morning all fresh and energetic, we left Hangzhou to the Daqi Mountain National Forest Park, and were divided into different groups. Then the coach led us to do some warm-up tasks, climb the mountain and have the intense and exciting realistic CS.
It's worth noting that the division of groups this time changed the old practice of division by office, but mixed us together first and then split us up in order to increase the communication and cooperation among different offices. Surprisingly, the new groups worked so well together as if they had worked together many times before, and efficiently completed the warm-up tasks that required great cooperation, such as "ice breaking", "we are the best" and "water acquisition". They successfully mobilized the members' enthusiasm and made them excited about and confident in the following group competition.
Orientational mountain climbing was the climax in the "To Daqi Mountain" section. While enjoying the green mountain, clear water and beautiful scenery, all team members showcased their skills and strengths to jointly crack the "code of Daqi Mountain", and contributed their ideas and opinions for the team. After cracking each code, the team would take a group photo at a designated spot, which recorded their bright smiles and eternalized the team spirit featuring their wisdom, cohesion and trust.
The realistic CS pushed the teambuilding activity to another climax. The gentle colleagues that we usually saw in suits at work put off their "idle burden", put on "military uniforms", held "guns" in hand, made tactics and fought bravely, determined to wipe out the "enemy". To our surprise, senior lawyers and partners that young lawyers usually took as too serious turned into completely different people on the battlefield. They either commanded actively, or hid themselves, or fought on the frontline, so enthusiastic and vigorous that they seemed to become leaders of a group of kids. At that moment, there was so such thing as generation gap or communication barrier.
Sightseeing
Considering the physically commanding activity on the previous day, our considerate colleagues arranged a relaxing trip for us the next day to visit the Yaolin wonderland and the Fuchun River. The bizarre and fairyland-like stalactite caves made us marvel at the uncanny workmanship of nature, and the glittering and azure Fuchun River washed away our fatigue and offered a great environment for us to deepen our understanding of each other.
The teambuilding activity came to an end before we realized it, and colleagues from different offices would go back to work soon. On their way back, maybe when they listen to the music and think back of the teambuilding activity, they will all ask the same question: what attracted these people from different places and of different characters together? What Director Li Dajin said during the activity answered this question: one law firm, one dream. East & Concord Partners is committed to recruiting and cultivating talents who dream of becoming a "master" in the legal world. It is this dream that has brought us together, made us know each other, and pushed us to press ahead shoulder to shoulder.
