On December 25, 2016, the “4th China Association for Quality Promotion Member Congress” was held in the lecture hall on the fifth floor of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China. At the meeting, Li Dajin, director of East & Concord Partners, and East & Concord partner Jian Kang were elected executive members of the 4th council of China Association for Quality Promotion.

China Association for Quality Promotion is a national organization that was formed in 1994 voluntarily by figures and units of government departments, central news agencies, economists, famous enterprises and the scientific academia to organize, guide and coordinate the quality promotional work nationwide. The competent department in charge is the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China. Since its formation, China Association for Quality Promotion has launched activities to crack down on fake commodities and support high-quality products, regulate the market, guide the consumers, and serve enterprises. It has revealed a large number of cases involving the production and distribution of counterfeit goods; supported a large number of branded enterprises, well-known and quality products, pioneering “3.15 China Forum on Right Safeguarding in Consumption,” “Launching Ceremony for China Quality Promotion,” “China Brand Development Forum,” “China Independent Innovation Forum,” “China Service Quality Forum” and “Foreign-funded Enterprises Anti-counterfeiting Forum” among other activities that aim to develop brands with quality, and its efforts have been recognized by the Party and state leaders and earned appreciation from consumers.

The two partners of East & Concord Partners being elected executive members of China Association for Quality Promotion will further enhance all-round cooperation between East & Concord Partners and China Association for Quality Promotion in strengthening consumer awareness in quality and intellectual property rights,  making due contributions to promoting the overall legal protection system in China.
