On December 15, 2017, Lihong Ma, partner of East & Concord Partners and Lingqing Kuang, senior associate, at the invitation of Huarong Real Estate Co., Ltd. (“Huarong Real Estate”), held a special lecture entitled “Introduction to Asset Securitization Business” at Huarong’s offices. Key personnel of Huarong Real Estate Legal Affairs & Compliance Department, Investment Business Department, Tourism Health Department, and Finance Department, as well as relevant personnel of over 10 affiliate companies of Huarong Real Estate in Guiyang, Xiangtan, Qingdao, and Chongqing attended the lecture online.

Lingqing Kuang focused on the concept and practice of asset securitization, a brief introduction to asset securitization, basic principles and operation of asset securitization, basic types of immovable assets securitization, basic types of non-immovable assets securitization, analysis of cases involving non-immovable assets, analysis of cases involving immovable assets, comparison and development directions of the models, and explained these aspects in detail.

At the end of the seminar, Huarong Real Estate attendees asked questions on tax-related issues in asset securitization trading, establishment of special purpose companies all of which were answered in details.
