In July 2020, Strategic Cooperation Agreement for Legal Services was signed by East & Concord Partners (“East & Concord”) and South-to-North Water Diversion Central Route Water Source Company (“the Company”) in Dajiangkou, Hubei province, and East & Concord will provide high-quality and comprehensive legal services in major decision-making, project acceptance, reservoir management, water supply safety management, project operation and maintenance.

At the signing ceremony, Liu Zhaojun introduced the systems, professional areas and legal services of East & Concord, which was fully affirmed by Wang Wei who also expected East & Concord to provide accurate, high-quality and efficient legal services for the Company, and contribute to the development of the Company and the safe operation of the South-to-North Water Diversion project.

Wang Wei and Liu Zhaojun signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement for Legal Services on behalf of the Company and East & Concord respectively. Both parties will, on the basis of mutual trust, carry out all-round cooperation in the legal service area, consolidate the legal protection for the future development of the Company and make contribution to the South-to-North Water Diversion project.

The South-to-North Water Diversion project’s central route is a magnificent ecological and social livelihood project. The project transfers water from the Danjiangkou Reservoir in the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and will solve the shortage of water resources in such four provinces and municipalities as Henan, Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin.
